The seminar, organised within the framework of the PRIN 2022 project “Reframing Italian Film Festivals. History, Policies, Cultures”, in collaboration with AIRSC (Italian Association for Film History Research) and supported by the Department of Arts of the University of Bologna and the CUC (University Film Council), will explore the history of Italian film festivals. Bringing together contributions from the project’s research units as well as from festival directors, scholars, archivists, and documentary filmmakers, the event aims to offer reflections, proposals, and testimonies that will help shape a methodology for studying cultural events devoted to cinema.
